Michal Dutkiewicz: Girls ! - From Line To Color

Not appropriate for children and adolescents. A 48-page book seemingly meant more as an illustrated conversation between the artist & reader than a standalone collection of his art. While there are 20 large reproductions of his work, many of those pages are 'cluttered' with inserts of related sketches, other versions or just comments. 28 pages collect more than one presented image, but distracting information abounds on them as well. Dutkiewicz relates a lot of computer techniques he uses to get his final effects and some more meta comments, like about the focus of the work, but as a non-artist, I can't really say how much someone could get out of the other narrative running throughout. There's a lot of nudity and a bit of salaciousness, but I imagine only the super-vigilant among us might hide it away because a couple of the smaller images that go 'all the way'. As the comments up above might suggest, the collection of the man's art would seem to be the better buy.
