Like many of their offerings, this is a slim volume. 52 pages, but nearly every page, including liners, is a full-page painting. The colors are dazzling. Most of the art does not have any noted titles or context, but the two pages of text cover Mr. Barr’s career to-date and prepare the way for this collection of his illustrations from classic horror literature, book covers, movie & television stories and horror & comic magazines. It’s a very diverse grouping of Star Trek, Doc Savage, Sherlock Holmes, Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula, aliens, spaceships, futuristic cities, swampland, castles, mermaids, wizards, dragons, unicorns, wolfmen, barbarians, beauties and a few well-known Marvel superheroes.
