The Art Of Roca

This book is indicated as being Vol.1, but no other volumes have yet to be released. It seems a bit haphazard. There are number of 'finished' grey-tone pieces, but those are then mixed in with a number of sketched figures. A couple of images spread across the gutter, but are still 'o.k.' when viewed that way, I guess. A couple of pages appear as if they were sketchbook pages, each with a number of nearly identical subjects. The usual lack of captioning is particularly annoying here because the finished works look to be commercial commissions and they are interesting enough to want to know what was being illustrated. Most of the studied figures are females, with partial nudity. Some fetishes are exercised, but are held in check just enough to keep the book generally acceptable. In total, there are 54 full-page images, including the color paintings on the front & back covers. Then there are another ten pages that have two, or more, images on display. There is also one text page that gives background on the artist.
