Mermaids And Magic Shows - The Paintings Of David Delamare This is a captivating collection of Delamare's art, along with a *lot* of commentary - more than 22 pages of this 128 page book (though well more than half of those have additional small examples of his work). There are 87 pages that each feature a large painting reproduction (a little less than a third being full-bleed). 20 of those pages are used to present ten double-page spreads (of which the majority are still 'o.k.' being split in the middle). There's also another 15 pages that each gather together two or more images. The art is broken up into chapters entitled Mermaids, Sirens, East Of The Moon, Book Illustration, and The Mask & Wig Club. All the works are captioned with title, creation-year, medium, size (also in metric), each usually accompanied with a bit of commentary, freqently divulging what use the piece was put to. Mermaids & sirens make up about a quarter of the book, followed closely by a focus on his skilled renderings of anthropomorphized animals in their fantastical adventures. That still leaves quite a bit of room for other surreal fantasy subjects along with a number of more abstract works. other Paper Tiger monographs Paper Tiger's Boris Vallejo/Julie Bell books Paper Tiger's Boris Vallejo books Chris Achilleos: Beauty And The Beast Paper Tiger's Chris Foss books The Fantasy Art Techniques Of Tim Hildebrandt Paper Tiger's Bob Eggleton collections Ron Miller: Firebrands - The Heroines Of Science Fiction & Fantasy Journeyman - The Art Of Chris Moore Tom Adams' Agatha Christie Cover Story The Deceiving Eye - The Art Of Richard Hescox Parallel Lines - The Science Fiction Illustrations Of Peter Elson & Chris Moore Only Visiting This Planet - The Art Of Danny Flynn Inner Visions - The Art Of Ron Walotsky Enchanted World - The Art Of Anne Sudworth Frank Kelly Freas: As He Sees It Hardyware - The Art Of David A.
