[-BELOW THE LINE-] Not illustrated with that much art. More than anything else, this is THE book to get to see pictures of the creators of classic science fiction. Of all the text pages in this 256-page book, only 19 have some small magazine illustration on them, most of the rest are either covered in the aforementioned photographs or have a couple of black-&-white reproductions of color pulp magazine covers. All that remains after that are another 19 pages of handsome full-color art pages with each quadrant filled with a magazine cover and 11 pages that are full-page presentations. Those several artists that get that grand treatment are: James Bama, Chesley Bonestell, Ed Emshwiller (2), Bob Engle, Leo Manso, Leo Morey, Frank R. Paul (2), John Schoenherr, and Wesso.
