Arthur Rackham (1975 - Bantam/Peacock Press)
(edited by David Larkin) A Bantam monograph in their usual style, 40 isolated plates, on the back of each, only a caption, noting the book, publisher & year for which the illustration was painted, along with the accompanying narrative phrase or passage. There's also another six featured illustration drawings amid the book's opening and the biographical text (nine informative pages of such). At this time I haven't poured through other book collections of the artist's work, but this seems to be, at the least, a very serviceable venue to examine these displays and of course artistically better than the below-the-line ARTHUR RACKHAM - HIS LIFE AND WORK found here.
