Star Wars - The Clone Wars - The Complete Season 2 pamphlet This book is *not* entitled LE GUERRE DEI CLONI. It is the 6.75-by-5.25 inch pamphlet that accompanied the DVD set of the Second Season of the animated series THE CLONE WARS. The artwork featured on the cover is a piece that producer Dave Filoni executed as a gift for his crew on which these Star Wars characters stand-in for a homage to the classic movie poster for Sergio Leone's Italian THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY. It is square-bound, so as to have a real spine, but that spine is blank. Though it does have several pages that describe what's on the set's discs and the production credits, the rest of the book's 64 pages (and front & back covers, as well as the inner liners) collects design art experimented with to create the episodes of the series. Ebay may be the only place to find this offered separately, and even then you may have to search for the incorrect title above. The book could be more fun, but 15 of the pages are just character design sheets and another 17 are more of those & paintings all turned sideways. That leaves only 33 pages to feature the art presented adequately (27 of those being full-page images rather than multi-image gatherings). Those include six double-page spreads, of which two fail because of the center split. A nice little collection discovered in a surprising nook. other Star Wars books Star Wars - The Art Of The Brothers Hildebrandt Star Wars - The Art Of Dave Dorman Star Wars - The Essential Chronology [BELOW THE LINE] SEND US A COMMENT (goes via e-mail - all info kept anonymous, but comment itself may be shared . . .) |
