The Art Of Eric Stanton - For The Man Who Knows His Place
                                             (1997 - Taschen)

(Edited by Eric Kroll)    Not appropriate for children or adolescents.  We are covering here the 352-page hardback edition.  When purchasing online, or even otherwise, check & double-check that you are getting the volume you are intending to.  Taschen's slew of releases in this area are confusing as well as being similar.  First, I think the book is too large to be recommended.  It is 13.5-by-10.25-inches in size and then 1.75-inches thick.  That's why The Art Of Stanton-Master Of Bizarre-Book One is recommend well before this one, it's far more manageable.  Indeed, you will find here more than a handful of covers or original paintings repeated from it.  The statistics here are that 115 pages each feature some large art reproduction and another 73 have on them multiple images gathered together.  The proceedings are grouped into chapters titled:  The Irving Klaw Years, The Peerless Sales Years, The Lenny Burtman Years, The Eddy Miskin Years, The Stanley Malcolm Years, The Stanton Archives, and Stantoons-Present - all proceeded by a 14-page intro/biography (which is repeated in both French & German).  The book also includes a large amount of pages given over to sequential art & reprints of the mail-order/under-the-counter publications, not to mention a few photo-shoot/picto-stories that Stanton was part of producing.  All in all, there's some nudity, lots of lingerie & leather, bondage and the implied threat of pain, but I find distressing that this display concentrates overt sadism, with easy delivery of cruelty & depicted pain into well over a quarter of the book.
