Under Cover - An Illustrated History of American Mass Market Paperbacks
                                             (1982 - Penguin Books)

[-BELOW THE LINE-]    (by Thomas L. Bonn)    This is a smaller, 9-by-7.5-inch, book of 144 pages, of which only 22 can be said to really feature the art.  Those are glossy full-color pages with two to six book cover images each - no particular art-images 'well-presented', as this site scores it.  The remaining text pages, providing a broad overview of the paperback publishing industry with a bit more elaboration into the production process (both design & logistics), are interspersed with black-&-white images of some other color covers.  In all, not a lot with which to recommend this volume, from an arts-presentation viewpoint.
