Lynette R. Cook: Infinite Worlds - An Illustrated Voyage To Planets Beyond Our Sun [-BELOW THE LINE-] (by Ray Villard) Lynette R. Cook's paintings are indeed the 'star' of the book, but there being only 67 of them out of this 272-page smaller oblong book is not enough to elevate it up onto our List. Those 67 are all featured large reproductions, but there's almost three times that representing the text, gathered in chapters called: Cosmic Evolution-Setting The Stage For Planets, Stars-The Genesis Machines, Solar System Clues, Planetary Bonanza, Looking For Habitable Planets And Life, Galaxy Odyssey, and Life In An Evolving Universe. Many, many of the text pages also sport space-photographs, as well as charts and instructional visual-aids. There also seems to be two 'well-presented' examples of Adolf Schaller's work found here. Cook's art isn't just planetary studies & space oddities, but also a handful of renditions of possible alien life and allegorical visions. other Astronomical art monographs Hardyware - The Art Of David A.
