This book is 78 pages and contains Kaluta's art broken down amid the introduction by artist Charles Vess, and chapters called: The Sketchbook Drawings, Comic Art, Commercial Projects, Working Toward Color, and the extensive (but reportedly still not complete) up-to-that-date Checklist. Throughout them all, a large amount of the displays, possibly more than half, are sketch-work. In addition to the front & back covers, there is a single page exhibiting a color piece inside. It is one of the 22 pages sporting a large reproduction intermixed with the 30 that gather together multiple images. Half of the remaining pages, mostly text, have a small-art pieces as well. The artist's voice is heard quite a bit, as he comments on & explains many of works. 'Celebrities' found within are Fafhrd & the Grey Mouser, The Rocketeer, The Shadow, King Kull, Conan, Batman, Catwoman, and Madam Xanadu. The List here recommends Kaluta collections WINGS OF TWILIGHT, ECHOES, and MICHAEL WM. KALUTA SKETCHBOOK before this one, but it has only a few duplicate 'well-presented' pieces from them.
