Frederic Remington  (Art For Children series)
                                             (1973 - Doubleday)

[-BELOW THE LINE-]    (by Adeline Peter & Ernest Raboff (though later editions credit only the latter))    A mere slip of book with only 31 pages.  After presenting four paintings turned sideways and utilizing another four pages for pictures of his sculptures, there's then only 8 pages for large reproductions of Remington's paintings and a couple of drawings.  There are also 'well-presented' paintings on the front & back covers, along with one page with two smallish images.  The rest is roughly-lettered text talking to a juvenile audience about the particular pieces themselves.  My old edition uses non-glossy paper, which does give the paintings a very interesting image-texture.
