The Art Of Bryan Talbot

Bryan Talbot is British comics artist of renown, having come into his own beginning in the 1970s & 80s. While there is a bit of sequential-art shown, the designers focused on covers, promotional creations and work produced in other fields. Out of 96 pages, there are 27 art pages that gather multiple images together, while another 64 display featured large reproductions - more than two-thirds being full-bleed or backgrounded in black (know that 11 of those are taken up with art class body-study drawings of real-life nudes). There are three double-page-spreads with one of them flunking out completely because of the gutter-distortion. Most work is captioned with a piece's title or use, creation-year and usually some anecdotal item of interest. Among these exhibits you'll find a number of 'celebrities', real or created, such as Alan Moore, Adam Ant, Jimi Hendrix, Luther Arkwright, Dan Dare, Judge Dredd, Omaha the Cat Dancer, Nemesis the Warlock, Torquemada, and the Endless.
