The Berni Wrightson Catalog (1977 - Tyrannosaurus Press)
[-BELOW THE LINE-] The Berni Wrightson Exhibition at the NYCA Gallery was accompanied by this publication of 20 pages (including covers & leaves). I suspect this gallery was rather short-lived, as I found few other web-mentions of it. Reportedly, this is a very small sampling of the original art that was being displayed and sold, but it does give an opportunity for the artist's words & other commentary about the diverse spectrum of projects that spurred them. Art-wise, I see ten pages sporting large reproductions and another two with a couple of images. One long piece is allowed to spread over the middle gutter, but as it is laid at the book's center, it remains okay. There's also a couple of images of color work presented in black-&-white, one drawing turned sideways, and a few examples of sequential art. The lack of a square-bound spine sends it 'below the line' on our List here.
